BELMONT CHAPEL Parenting Course starts Tuesday 20 January 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belmont Chapel are running a Parenting Course for 5-15 yr olds starting
Tuesday 20 January for 8 weeks (with a break for half term). Sessions
start at 7.30pm and last for two hours. Courses are free.

FNF Exeter McKENZIE/LIP Training Day will be held on 14th Feb 2009 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ONE day course will be run by Ruth Glover.
Registration from around 9.15-9.30,
Start at 10.00 am and expected to Finish at around 16:30.
Suggested cost will be about £10 but this does not include lunch - please
bring a packed lunch. Refreshments will be available during the day.
The training will cover up to and including the first directions
hearing and will effectively be 'Part One'.
Hopefully there will be further course(s) in the future - namely 'Part Two'
to cover more complicated matters and final hearings.
The course will be held at the Exeter CAFCASS Office at :

Was a great success with 28 people attending ...
Peter Mitchell (pictured above) provided us with a interesting and informative
evening, including detailed insights regarding the operation of CAFCASS in the
South West.
We would like to thank him for taking time out of what must be a busy
schedule in order to attend our meeting and share his knowledge and
experiences, he certainly gave us all lots of information !!

EXETER BRANCH/SURESTART (the day before) FATHERS DAY EVENT
held at Whipton Children's Centre,
Whipton Infants School, Hill Lane, Whipton, Exeter EX1 3JP
on Saturday 14th June 2008 between 1000 and 1200

The FNF Exeter Branch will be working with Surestart at the
Whipton Children's Centre where they run their Dads and Kids Group
every Saturday between 10am and 12 noon.
The planned activities will consist of a children's entertainer providing
magic, ballons, puppets etc. A face painter will be on hand to paint
kids and dads faces but unfortunately cannot do under 3's.
We will also have a police officer and police vehicle.
FREE drinks and snacks will be provided.
FNF members will be availble to give support and advice.
Surestart is aimed at under 5's.
If you know of anybody who would like to come along on Saturday
please let them know about the event.
In the summer we will be looking to put on a event for the over 5's.

Judge Vincent (pictured above) provided us with a interesting and informative
evening, including detailed insights as to how Judges make decisions in the
Family Law Courts.
We would like to thank him for taking time out of what must be a busy
schedule in order to attend our meeting and share his knowledge and
experiences, he certainly gave us all food for thought !!
